An initiative by Yannick Durbaca, better know as @TheBestWines on Instagram. His idea? Throwing a networking event focussed on people that work in the wine industry.
We were invited to stop by Restaurant Wijn Robijn in Genk for a tasting of some great wines that Yannick had selected for us. Amongst a lot of people that have some form of influence in the wonderful world of wine, we drank some amazing gems. A 1973 Cos d’Estournel and a 1966 Chateau Beychevelle, which was out of this world. But also some vintages of Chateau Angludet were tasted by us.
The idea behind all this?
Yannick is an influential person concerning wines. He is currently living in Burgundy, and enjoys to share wines with people like him, or people that just love wine a lot. He is the brain behind ‘The Wine Circle’ and created this event to get to know more wine-lovers and connaisseurs. And to bring people in touch. A great idea, which will pay off for your network in the long term.
Great event, great atmosphere, great wines, great people. Loved to be a part of it. Ready for number two.
